Humans are not the only species who drink milk as adults, cows and some other animals do it too!
How Milk Works
When a baby animal is born, its mom gives it milk, which helps it grow. Usually, this stops when the baby becomes an adult. But sometimes, like with humans, that doesn’t happen.
For example, cows drink milk as babies, their moms give them milk to help them grow strong. When they become adults, they still drink milk! In fact, cows are famous for giving milk to people, it’s how we get the milk in our cereal or on our toast.
Other Animals Who Like Milk
Some other animals also keep drinking milk even when they’re grown up. For instance, goats, sheep, and even pigs sometimes drink milk as adults too!
It's like if you drank juice every day, not just when you were a baby. That’s how it works for some animals, including humans! Humans are not the only species who drink milk as adults, cows and some other animals do it too!
