Carbon trading is like a game where companies try to keep the air as clean as possible, and sometimes they trade help with each other to make it easier.

Imagine you're playing with your friend in a room, and every time you jump on the trampoline, you let out a poof of invisible stuff called carbon dioxide. That's like pollution. If you jump too much, the room gets stuffy, not fun for anyone!

Now, some kids are really good at being gentle on the air. They only do a few bounces and save their energy. Others bounce wildly and make the room super stuffy. In carbon trading, those wild bouncers can buy "passes" from the gentle ones to let them jump more, and the gentle ones get some extra fun time for letting others jump.

This helps keep the whole room (like our planet) from getting too stuffy, even if not everyone is perfect at being gentle. It’s a way to share the work of keeping the air clean, like sharing toys or taking turns on the swings!
