How Adders Work
An adder is like a helper that adds numbers for the computer, just like you help count blocks when you play.
When you add two numbers, say 2 + 3, you might use your fingers to count up. A computer does something similar, it uses an adder to take two binary numbers and give the total in binary too!
Think of it like stacking blocks: if you have 1 block (which is 1) and add another block (also 1), you get 2 blocks. That’s like adding 1 + 1 = 10 in binary.
Adders are super important, they let computers do all the math you need for games, videos, even your favorite apps!
So next time you play with blocks or count on your fingers, remember: you're doing math just like a computer does!
Examples
- Imagine adding apples with just two types of baskets: empty or full.
