Zero is like an empty box in math. Imagine counting your toys, if you have none, that’s zero! Before zero, people had to use words or symbols for 'nothing,' but with zero, you could write numbers more easily and do bigger calculations. It made math much simpler.
Examples
- When you have no cookies left, that’s zero cookies.
- A scoreboard shows 0 points when the game hasn’t started yet.
- You can count from 1 to 10 with zero being the starting point.
