Dreams happen when your brain is busy during sleep. When you fall asleep, your brain starts to relax and let go of the day’s events. It then makes up a story from all those thoughts, like a movie playing in your head. This happens mostly during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, which is when your eyes move quickly behind your closed eyelids.
Examples
- You dream about flying because your brain made up a story where you were like a bird.
- You wake up from a scary dream like you're in a haunted house.
- Your brain turns the day's events into a strange adventure during sleep.
