How Do Rockets Escape Earth's Gravity?

Imagine you're on a skateboard, and you push off the ground really hard. That’s like what rockets do, they push against Earth to get going. When a rocket starts, it burns fuel very fast, which pushes it up, and that helps it escape gravity. The more powerful the push, the faster the rocket goes.
