How It Feels
What Makes It Work
Imagine pressing down on a soft pillow, the more you press, the deeper it goes. A touch screen works like that too! It has tiny sensors all over it that notice when your finger presses in. These sensors are like little helpers that tell the device what to do next.
If you've ever pressed a button on a toy or a remote control, that’s kind of how a touch screen works, but with lots more buttons working together quietly inside! Touch screens work by feeling when you press them, just like a button feels when you push it.
Examples
- A child taps a glass screen to play a game.
- You swipe your finger across a phone to scroll down.
- Your smartwatch responds when you press it.
