How Does a Mirror Know What to Reflect?

Mirrors don't really 'know' what to reflect, they just follow the rules of light. When you look into a mirror, your eyes send out tiny light signals that bounce off you and hit the mirror. The mirror sends them back to your eyes, so you see yourself. It's like sending a message and getting it back, no thinking needed!
