Imagine you're playing with a flashlight in the dark. When you turn it on, light shines out like magic. If you put your hand between the light and the wall, a shadow appears, like a ghostly version of your hand! This happens because light can’t go through solid things, so when an object blocks the path of the light, it leaves a dark spot behind. That’s how shadows work!
