How the Eye Changes Focus
Your eye has a special part called the lens, which is like a window that changes shape. When you look at something near, like a cookie on your plate, the lens squishes up to make the image clear, it’s like when you press your face close to a magnifying glass.
When you look at something far away, like a bird in the sky, the lens relaxes and becomes flatter, just like a balloon letting out some air. This helps you see that faraway object clearly too.
How Light Gets In
Your eye also has pupils, which are like little doors that let light in. When it's bright outside, those doors shrink, like when you close your umbrella on a sunny day. When it’s dark, the doors open wide so more light can come in, just like opening a big window.
So every time you look around, your eye is working hard to make everything clear, no magic needed!
