Animating doors and windows with Dynamic Components in SketchUp is like giving your house a set of smart toys that can open and close on their own!

Imagine you have a toy car that moves when you press a button, that’s kind of what Dynamic Components do, but for doors and windows in your drawing.

Think of a door as a picture you draw. With Dynamic Components, you're adding a special sticker to that picture, like a "move" sticker. When you click the sticker, the door swings open or slides sideways, just like how your toy car moves when you press the button!

You can do this for windows too. Maybe one window lifts up like a drawbridge, and another one opens like a fan. Each of them gets its own special sticker, or Dynamic Component.

Once you’ve added the stickers (or Dynamic Components), all you need to do is press play, or click the button, and watch your house come alive! You can even make more than one door or window move at the same time, like a real house with lots of action!
