What's the Big Idea?
Sometimes, people give up a lot for someone else. Like when a parent stays up late to make sure their kids have breakfast in the morning. The parent gives up sleep, that's sacrifice.
Jordan and Ben use stories and examples to show how sacrifice helps us grow and become stronger, just like when you learn to ride a bike, you fall down a few times, but eventually, you can go fast!
Why It Matters
When we see someone make a big sacrifice, it inspires others to do the same. It's like when your friend shares their favorite snack with you, now you want to share yours too.
So, sacrifice is about giving up something good so that someone else can be happy or succeed, and that makes everyone around you better!
Examples
- A child gives up their toy to make their sibling happy.
- Someone stays late at work to help a friend finish a project.
- A parent chooses less money for the family so their children can have better opportunities.
