How Does Hotel Infinity: Part One Work?

Hotel Infinity is like a never-ending hotel that can always fit more guests, even when it’s full.

Imagine you’re playing with building blocks, each block is a room in the hotel. Now, every single block has someone in it, and there are infinite blocks, that means they go on forever! But then, a new guest shows up, and suddenly, the hotel needs one more room. How does it do that?

The Magic of Moving Blocks

The hotel doesn’t need to build a new block. Instead, everyone just moves one space over, like when you shift your toys in a line to make room for a friend. The person in Room 1 goes to Room 2, the person in Room 2 goes to Room 3, and so on, all the way to infinity. That leaves Room 1 empty, ready for the new guest!

More Guests Show Up

Now, imagine 10 more guests show up at once, like 10 friends coming over for a playdate! The hotel doesn’t need to add 10 new blocks. Instead, everyone moves two spaces over, or three, or even ten, and suddenly, there are 10 new empty rooms at the start of the line.

It’s like having a never-ending line of toys that can always grow longer, no matter how many friends come to play!
