How Does Interlayer Communication Work?

Imagine your brain is like a busy city, and each layer of communication is like a different street or road, they all help messages travel from one part of the city to another.

Think about sending a letter. You write it on paper, put it inside an envelope, seal it, and then hand it to someone who will take it to its destination. That’s like how interlayer communication works, messages are wrapped up in special packages so they can be sent from one layer of the brain to another.

Each time a message goes from one part of the city (one layer) to another, it needs a mail carrier, kind of like a messenger who knows where to go. These mail carriers are called neurons, and they use special roads called synapses to pass along the messages.

When your brain wants to think or move your arm, these mail carriers are hard at work, passing along letters (messages) so everything can work together smoothly, just like how a city needs its mail carriers to keep it running!
