Imagine you and your friend are sharing a big, round pizza. If you take just one slice, that’s like a small angle. If you take half the pizza, that’s like a bigger angle, almost like a straight line. And if you take all the slices, that’s like going all the way around, that’s 360 degrees!

How Angles Are Measured

Angles are measured in degrees, just like how we count slices of pizza. A full circle has 360 slices (or degrees). If you have one slice, that might be about 90 degrees, like a square corner. Two slices would be about 180 degrees, almost like a straight line.

How Angles Are Named

Angles can also be named based on how they look. A right angle is like the corner of a book, it’s exactly 90 degrees. An acute angle is smaller than that, like a little slice of pizza. And an obtuse angle is bigger, more than 90 but less than 180, like almost a full half of the pizza.

So, angles are just slices of a circle, and understanding them helps you see how shapes fit together!
