What Makes Silk Smooth?
What Makes Cotton Soft?
Cotton is more like a pile of little balls. Its molecules are more jumbled together, like a bunch of marshmallows squished in a bag. This gives cotton that soft, fluffy feel we all love.
When you touch silk, it’s like touching a smooth slide, easy to glide over. When you touch cotton, it’s like hugging a pillow, cozy and bumpy.
So the difference between silk and cotton comes from how their molecules are organized, one is neatly lined up, and the other is all squished together! Silk is like a smooth slide, and cotton is like a soft pillow, they feel different because their molecules are arranged in special ways.
