How Does The REAL reason you can't divide by zero Work?

You can't divide by zero because it’s like trying to share nothing among everyone, and it just doesn’t make sense.

Imagine you have 6 cookies, and you want to split them evenly between 2 friends. That's easy, each friend gets 3 cookies. Now imagine you still have 6 cookies, but you want to split them among zero friends. Who are you even sharing with? There’s no one there!

This is what dividing by zero means, it’s like saying, "I have some number of things, and I want to share them between no one at all." That doesn’t work because there's no way to figure out how much each person would get when there are zero people.

When you try to divide by zero on a calculator, it might say "error" or something like "infinity," which can feel kind of magical. But really, it’s just saying, "I don’t know what to do with no one to share with!"
