How Does Trust Your Gut | David Vobora | TEDxSMU Work?

Trust your gut is like listening to that little voice inside you when you're not sure what to do, it's like when you're trying to pick a toy at the store and you just know that one is the best, even if you can't explain why.

What Is "Gut Feeling"?

Your gut feeling is like your brain giving you a quick message. It happens when you have lots of choices or not enough information, it's like trying to choose between two flavors of ice cream and picking the one that feels right without thinking too much.

How Does It Work?

Imagine you're playing hide-and-seek, and you've been hiding for a long time. Your gut tells you, "They’re coming!", maybe you feel your heart racing or your tummy twisting. That's your body sending signals to your brain that say, "Something is happening!"

David Vobora, the person who gave this talk, says our gut can help us make decisions faster when we don't have all the answers, it’s like having a super-smart friend who helps you choose without telling you why.
