Imagine the internet is a giant library of books (data) stored far away. Your Wi-Fi router is like a friendly librarian standing in your living room. The speed of this exchange depends on the frequency. Most home routers use 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequencies. Think of frequency as the width of the road. A wider road (5 GHz) lets more cars (data) pass through quickly, but it might struggle to go through thick walls. A narrower road (2.4 GHz) is slower for traffic but travels farther and goes through walls easier.
