What are ancient seafarers?

Ancient seafarers are like brave explorers who traveled across big waters using boats and their own clever skills.

Imagine you're playing with your toy boat in a bathtub. Now picture that bathtub as the ocean, but much bigger, so big it could stretch for days! Ancient seafarers used real boats, made of wood or other strong materials, to sail on these big waters. They would go from one place to another, like going from one island to another, or even from one country to another.

Ancient seafarers didn’t have GPS or maps like we do now. Instead, they used the sun, the stars, and the waves to help them find their way. It was like playing a game of hide-and-seek with nature, they had to watch carefully and think ahead.

They also carried things with them on their boats, food, tools, and sometimes even animals. These were like the snacks and toys you bring along when you go on a long trip. They used these things to survive and make new friends in faraway places.
