What are behavioral outcomes?

Behavioral outcomes are what people do because of something that happened to them or around them.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, and suddenly it falls on the floor. You might pick it up right away, that's a behavioral outcome. It’s what you did because of something else (the toy falling).

What Makes a Behavioral Outcome?

Sometimes, people do things when they want something, like eating ice cream to feel happy.

Other times, they do things because they don’t want something bad to happen, like running away from a big dog to avoid being scared.

These actions, whether picking up a toy or running from a dog, are all behavioral outcomes. They show how people react to the world around them in simple, real ways.
