What are bright spots?

Bright spots are places that shine more than others because they reflect light better.

Imagine you're playing with a shiny ball on a sunny day. The ball catches the sunlight and glows brighter than the grass around it. That’s like a bright spot, it stands out because it reflects more light.

When light hits something, some of it bounces back. If the surface is smooth, like a mirror or a shiny ball, most of the light bounces straight back, making that place look brighter.

But if the surface is rough, like a piece of paper, the light scatters in different directions, so it doesn’t shine as much.
