A celestial system is like a group of toys that all play nicely together in space.
Imagine you have a toy car, a toy truck, and a few little toy houses, they’re all on the same playground. Now picture that playground being super far away, floating in the dark sky. That’s kind of what happens with celestial systems!
Like a Family of Planets
In a celestial system, there's usually one big object, like a giant ball (we call it a star), and around it spin smaller ones, like balls that are not as big, we call them planets. The Earth is part of a celestial system called the Solar System, which has our Sun in the middle.
All Moving Together
Just like how you might swing your arms while running, these planets all move around their star in special paths, kind of like going around on a merry-go-round. They’re not stuck; they keep moving and playing together for billions of years!
