What are distribution lines?

Distribution lines are like the roads that help electricity get from big power plants to your house.

Imagine you're playing with toy cars on a track. The big power plant is like a toy car factory, and it sends out lots of little toy cars (which are like electricity) down the road (distribution lines) so they can reach your toy garage (your house).

Distribution lines are long wires that run above or below ground. They carry electricity from bigger power lines to smaller ones, and then all the way to homes, schools, and stores.

Think of it like a bunch of roads connected together, some are big highways (like main power lines), and some are small streets (like distribution lines). The electricity travels along these roads until it gets to where it needs to go, your light switch or your TV!

Sometimes you can see them as thick wires on poles outside, especially near your neighborhood. They're working hard to make sure your lights turn on when you flip the switch!
