What are international relations?

International relations are like how kids in different playgrounds talk and play together.

Countries are like kids, each one has its own toys, friends, and favorite games. When they want to share toys or join a game, they need to talk, just like you do with your friends at recess.

When countries talk, it's like having a big conversation across the world. They might say things like "We'll trade our apples for your bananas" or "Let’s be friends and help each other when there's a problem." This is called diplomacy, which is just a fancy word for talking nicely to work things out.

Sometimes, countries don’t agree, it’s like when two kids both want the same toy. They might argue or even stop playing together for a while. But usually, they find a way to be friends again by sharing, trading, or just saying sorry.

That's how international relations work, it's all about talking, sharing, and being friends with countries around the world.
