What are natural sound sources?

Natural sound sources are things in the world around us that make noise without needing electricity or people to help them.

What Makes a Natural Sound Source?

Natural sound sources are like friendly neighbors who sing or talk on their own, no one has to push a button for them.

For example, think about wind. When it blows through trees, the leaves rustle and make soft sounds. That’s wind being a natural sound source. It’s just doing what it does every day, like how you might laugh when you’re happy, no one has to tell it to do that.

Another example is water. When it flows in rivers or splashes in puddles, it makes whooshing and splashing sounds. You can hear this even when you're playing outside. Water doesn’t need anyone to turn it on, it just keeps going like a happy song.

What About Animals?

Even animals are natural sound sources! Birds chirp in the morning, dogs bark when they see something funny, and your cat might meow if it wants food. These sounds come from inside them, not from any special machine or person pushing buttons.

So next time you hear birds singing, wind rustling leaves, or water splashing, remember: those are all natural sound sources doing what they do best!
