A perfectionist is someone who wants everything to be just perfect before they're happy.
Imagine you’re building a tower with your blocks. A perfectionist would stack each block just right, making sure it’s straight and even, before moving on to the next one. If one block wobbles or falls over, they might take it all apart to fix it, because they want the perfect tower.
Like a Picky Pizza Maker
Think of a perfectionist like a pizza maker who checks every single pepperoni, making sure each one is placed just right on the dough. They don’t mind spending extra time to make everything look and taste just perfect. But sometimes, they might not even get to eat the pizza because they’re too busy fixing it!
The Good and the Not-So-Good
Sometimes being a perfectionist is great, you end up with really awesome towers or amazing pizzas. But if you're always trying to make everything perfect, it can take longer to finish your work, and you might feel stressed if things don’t turn out exactly how you wanted.
But that’s okay! Everyone has their own way of doing things, and being a perfectionist is just one fun kind.
