What are samples?

A sample is like a tiny piece of something bigger that helps us understand what the whole thing is like.

Imagine you have a big bag of candy, lots of different colors and flavors. You can’t try every single piece, right? So you take out just a few pieces to taste. Those few pieces are your sample. They help you guess what's inside the whole bag without eating it all!

Sometimes we don't have time or resources to check everything, like when scientists want to know if a lake is clean, they might take water from different spots in the lake and test just those parts. Those parts are samples too.

Think of it like tasting one bite of a pizza before you buy it. That one bite is your sample. If it's good, you might decide to buy the whole pizza!

Using samples saves time and energy, and helps us make smart choices, just like how you choose which candy to grab based on the few pieces you tried!
