Imagine spinning on a chair with your arms stretched out, you spin slowly. When you pull your arms in, you spin faster. The Earth does something similar! It wobbles because of things like the moon and other planets tugging at it, just like how you tug at the chair. This makes days slightly longer or shorter sometimes.
Examples
- Spinning on a chair with your arms out makes you wobble, the Earth does the same!
- Like how a top wobbles as it spins slowly
- The Moon tugs on the Earth like a giant invisible string
