Imagine a big group of friends who all work together to build the best treehouse ever. But when they stop sharing snacks and start fighting over who gets to be boss, the treehouse falls apart. That's kind of like what happens with empires, when people inside them stop working together or run out of resources, the empire collapses. Sometimes a new group of friends (or enemies) come in and take over the treehouse, starting a whole new adventure.
