Why it feels heavy
Imagine you're holding a big, full backpack, the more stuff inside, the heavier it feels. The ocean is like that backpack, but it’s super huge! It covers most of our planet and has so much water in it that it acts like a really heavy weight on Earth.
How it moves Earth
When the ocean moves, like when waves crash or tides go up and down, it's like shifting weights around. This movement can even make Earth wobble a little bit, just like how you might sway if someone suddenly takes your backpack away.
It’s not magic, it’s just really big water doing its thing, pushing and pulling our planet as it goes!
Examples
- The ocean adds weight to one side of Earth, similar to pushing on a seesaw.
