Neurodiversity means that people have different kinds of brains, just like some people have different kinds of shoes.
Imagine you and your friend both want to run a race. You wear running shoes, which are fast for running. Your friend wears slippers, which are cozy but not as good for running. That’s okay, your brain might work more like yours, and your friend's brain might work more like theirs.
Different Kinds of Brains
Some people have brains that make them really good at seeing patterns or thinking in pictures. Others have brains that help them focus on small details or remember things easily. It’s like having different kinds of tools for solving problems.
Just like how some kids prefer drawing, and others love building with blocks, some people think best when they're moving, and others think best when they're quiet.
Everyone's Brain is Special
There’s no one “right” way to have a brain. All the different kinds of brains make our world more interesting and fun, just like how having both shoes and slippers makes your race day more colorful!
