"Your brain has 86 billion neurons, which is like having a whole city full of tiny workers who never stop talking and working together."
What Are Neurons?
Imagine your brain is like a super busy playground, every kid on the playground is a neuron. These kids are always running around, passing notes (which are like messages), and playing games with each other. That's what neurons do all day long: they send messages to help you think, feel happy, remember your favorite toy, or even ride your bike.
How Many Neurons?
Now imagine that playground has 86 billion kids, that’s way more than any real playground you’ve ever been to! To get an idea of how big that number is, it's like having 100 million buses, each with 860 kids on them. All those kids working together make your brain smart and strong.
So every time you laugh, cry, learn something new, or even dream, it’s all thanks to those tiny workers in your brain!
Examples
- If each neuron was a person, they'd be communicating in a massive, complex network.
