What is banana?

A banana is a yellow, curved fruit that grows on trees and is super tasty when you peel it.

What It Looks Like

Imagine holding a long, skinny yellow stick, that’s what a banana looks like before you eat it. It has a brown cover on the outside called a peel, and when you peel it off, you find soft, sweet inside parts called slices (or sometimes just “inside”).

What You Can Do With It

You can bite into it like a snack, or you can put it in your lunchbox for later. Some people even use bananas to help them run faster, because they’re full of energy, kind of like how a battery gives power to a toy.

Bananas are like little helpers that make your tummy happy and give you the power to play all day!
