What is Color, shape, and typography?

Color, shape, and typography are the tools we use to make things look interesting and easy to read, like when you color a picture or write your name.

Color is what makes things look bright or calm. Imagine you have two crayons: one is red, and the other is blue. Red feels exciting, like when you’re playing with fire trucks, while blue feels peaceful, like the sky on a quiet day. When we use color, it helps us show feelings or make things stand out.

Shape is what something looks like, round, square, or squiggly. Think of your favorite building blocks: some are cubes, others are circles, and some are long rectangles. Shapes help us organize things, like how your toys fit together in a box or how letters look on a page.

Typography is all about the style of the letters we write, big, small, slanted, or straight. It’s like choosing between a bold superhero font and a tiny, sleepy font for your storybook. Good typography helps us read better and enjoy what we're reading more.
