Enumeration is when you count things one by one and give them numbers to keep track.
Imagine you have a bag full of colorful marbles, red, blue, green, and yellow. You want to know how many there are. So you take out each marble, say “1,” then “2,” then “3,” and so on, until all the marbles have their own number. That’s enumeration!

Enumeration Helps You Know How Many
When you count your toys before bedtime or figure out how many cookies are left in the jar, you're doing enumeration every day. It's just counting things one by one to know exactly how many there are!
