FOMO is when you're worried you might miss out on something fun if you don't do it right now.
Imagine you’re at a pizza party and your favorite slice is the last one, but you have to wait for your friend to finish their slice first. That feeling of “What if I wait too long and someone else takes it?” is FOMO, short for Fear Of Missing Out.
Like Being in a Race
Think about it like being in a race with your friends. If you see them running off to the playground, you might feel like you’ll miss out on the best game if you don’t run after them right away. That’s FOMO, it's like your brain is shouting, “Go! Don’t stay behind!”
It Happens Everywhere
You might get FOMO when:
- You see everyone playing a video game and you worry you’ll miss the best part.
- Your friend gets a new toy and you wonder if you should ask for one too.
FOMO is like having a tiny voice inside your head that says, “Don’t stay behind, go join the fun!”
