What is hero?

A hero is someone who helps others when they need it most, just like your friend who shares their last cookie when you're hungry.

Imagine you're playing with blocks and you're trying to build the tallest tower ever. You stack block after block, but then boom! The tower falls down. You feel sad. But then your hero, maybe your big brother or even your mom, comes over and says, "Let’s rebuild it together!" That's what a hero does: they help when things get tough.

A hero doesn’t have to be super strong or super fast. They just need to care about others and take action. Sometimes, being a hero is as simple as standing up for someone who’s being bullied at school, like when you see your friend getting picked on and you say, "That's not fair!"

Sometimes, it takes real courage, like when a firefighter runs into a burning building to save people. But other times, it can be something small, like helping an elderly neighbor carry their groceries.
