What is infrared light ? │LYNRED?

Infrared light is like the warm feeling you get when you sit by a fire on a cold day, but you can't see it.

Imagine your favorite blanket. When you wrap yourself in it, you feel cozy because it traps the warmth from your body. Now imagine that warmth is invisible and can travel through the air to reach you even if you're not touching the fire. That's what infrared light does, it carries heat, just like a warm hug from the sun or a glowing stove.

How it works

Infrared light is part of the light family, the same kind that comes from your phone screen, a lamp, or even a candle. But instead of being visible like those lights, infrared is felt as warmth. You can’t see it with your eyes, but you can feel it on your skin.

Think about standing near a heater in winter, you don’t have to touch it to know it’s hot. That’s because the heater sends out invisible heat waves, which are infrared light. Just like how you use a blanket to keep warm, infrared helps things stay warm too, like your body, a cup of cocoa, or even a chilly room!
