What is interrogation?

Interrogation is when someone asks many questions to find out more about something or someone.

Imagine you're playing a game of 20 Questions with your friend. You ask yes-or-no questions like, "Is it an animal?" or "Can you eat it?" Each question helps you get closer to guessing the answer. That's kind of what interrogation is, but instead of just guessing a thing, someone is trying to learn more about another person.

Like a Detective Asks Clues

Think of interrogation like a detective asking clues from a witness. The detective asks one question after another, and each answer helps them solve the mystery. Sometimes, the questions can be tricky, like when you're trying to remember what happened in your favorite story, and someone keeps asking you about tiny details.

It Can Be Fun or Serious

Sometimes interrogation is just part of a game, like in a classroom or at a party. Other times, it's more serious, like when someone is trying to figure out the truth in a big mystery, or even in a movie!
