What is Iraq?

Iraq is like a big puzzle made up of many pieces that all fit together to make one complete picture.

Iraq is a country, think of it as a large neighborhood where lots of people live, just like the ones you see in your town or school. This neighborhood has been around for a very long time, and it’s full of different groups of people who have their own traditions and ways of living.

Imagine you're working on a group project with friends. Each friend brings something special to the table, one might be good at drawing, another at writing, and another at organizing. Iraq is like that group project: it has many groups (like the Kurds, Shiites, and Sunni Arabs) who all contribute in their own way to make the country work.

Sometimes, these friends have different ideas about how the project should look, just like how people in Iraq sometimes disagree on things. But together, they help create something wonderful, a strong and interesting country that's been around for thousands of years!
