What is issuer?

A issuer is like the person who gives you a special ticket to join a game.

Imagine you’re playing a game at school, and you need a ticket to get in. The issuer is the teacher or friend who hands out those tickets. Without the ticket, you can’t play, but with it, you're all set!

Think of the issuer as the gatekeeper. They decide who gets the special ticket and when.

• If you’re a kid in line for ice cream, the issuer is like the person at the counter who gives you your cone.
• If you want to ride the bus, the issuer is like the driver who checks your pass before letting you on.

The ticket can be anything, a card, a sticker, or even just a nod from the issuer. What matters is that the issuer says you’re in!
