Jung is like having a special friend inside your head who helps you understand yourself and others better.
Imagine you have a toy box full of different kinds of toys, some are cars, some are dolls, and some are blocks. Each toy represents a part of who you are or how you think. Carl Jung was like the person who helped us discover all these different parts inside our heads, called archetypes.
Like a Team of Superheroes
Jung thought that everyone has a team of superheroes in their minds, like a leader, a thinker, a feeling friend, and even a trickster. These are your personal archetypes, and they help you understand why you do certain things or feel certain ways.
The Big Picture
He also noticed that people all over the world have similar stories and dreams, kind of like how kids in different countries play with similar toys. That’s because we all share a collective unconscious, it's like a big toy box everyone has access to, filled with the same kinds of toys but maybe different colors.
Jung helped us see that understanding ourselves is like learning about our own special team of superheroes, and sometimes, even helping others understand theirs!
