What is larger? means we're trying to find out which thing has more of something, like size or amount.
Imagine you have two piles of toys. One pile has 5 blocks, and the other has 3 blocks. If you look at them, the pile with 5 blocks feels bigger because it has more blocks in it. That means 5 is larger than 3.
Piles and Pizzas
Let’s try with pizzas! You have two pizzas, one is cut into 4 slices, and the other is cut into 6 slices. Even though both are the same size pizza, the one with more slices has more pieces to eat. So 6 slices is larger than 4 slices.
Big and Small
You can also think about things you see every day, like your shoes! If you have a shoe that fits your foot perfectly, and another shoe that's too small, the bigger shoe is the one that feels larger when you wear it.
So when we ask “What is larger?” we're asking which thing has more of something else, whether it’s blocks, slices, or even shoes!
