What is lifespan?

Lifespan is how long something lives from when it starts to when it stops.

Imagine you have a toys, let's say a teddy bear. When you first get it, that’s the start of its life. Every day you play with it, it gets a little older, just like you do. Sometimes it gets worn out from being hugged too much or dropped on the floor. That’s like getting tired. Eventually, one day, your teddy bear might not be able to hold up anymore, maybe it loses an eye or its fur comes off completely. That's when its life ends.

So, the time between when you first get your teddy bear and when it can't play with you anymore is its lifespan.

How Lifespan Works

Just like toys have different lifespans, some last a few years, others might only last a month if they’re broken right away, people also have different lifespans. Some live for 80 years, and others might live longer or shorter depending on how they take care of themselves.

It's like having a favorite snack, the more you eat it, the faster it runs out. Taking good care of your body is like saving some snacks for later!
