Menstruation is when the body cleans out the uterus to get ready for a new beginning.
Imagine your tummy has a special room called the uterus, and every month, it gets ready for a tiny guest, like a baby’s first visit. If that tiny guest doesn’t come, the room decides to give itself a little clean-up.
The Clean-Up Process
Inside the uterus are soft walls that change each month. When the tiny guest isn't there, those walls get tired and start peeling off. Along with them, some old stuff from earlier visits comes out, like a mini cleanup crew working hard to make space for next time.
This cleanup happens through the vagina, which is like a door connecting the uterus to the outside world. What comes out is called menstrual blood, it’s not magic, just your body doing its job.
Sometimes, this process can feel like having a little friend who visits every month, and sometimes you might need more tissues or a special pad to help with the cleanup. It’s all part of growing up!
