What is owls?

Owls are big birds that come out at night to hunt little animals.

Owls have round faces, soft feathers, and big eyes that help them see in the dark. Their wings are like a blanket, they can fly quietly so their prey doesn’t hear them coming. Some owls even turn their heads all the way around to look behind them!

At night, owls swoop down from trees and catch mice, rabbits, or other small animals with their sharp claws. It’s like when you sneak up on your brother to surprise him, only owls do it in the dark, and they’re really good at it!

Just like kids need a nap after playing all day, owls sleep during the day and stay awake at night. They’re like nighttime superheroes who have their own special powers to hunt, no magic needed, just clever tricks!
