Peel is when something comes off another thing, like the skin from a banana.
Imagine you have a banana. When you eat it, you usually take off the yellow cover, that's called the peel. So, peel means to remove the outside part of something.
How It Works
When you pull on the peel, it separates from the banana. This happens because the peel is like a layer that’s not attached all the way around. You can do this with other things too, like peeling an orange or taking off a sock.
Why We Peel Things
Sometimes we peel things to get to what's inside. The inside of the banana is soft and tasty, but the peel is tough and not so good to eat. So peeling helps us enjoy the best part of the banana!
Peel is simple, just like when you take off your shoes or gloves. It’s all about taking away one layer to find what's underneath!
