What is Push and pull effect of light?

Light can push and pull, just like when you play with toys!

Imagine you're playing with a toy car that has a little fan on top. When the fan turns on, it makes air move, and that moves the car forward. That’s like light pushing things. It gives them a gentle nudge to move.

Now think of a balloon filled with air. If you let go of the string, the balloon zooms around the room. The air inside pushes out, and that makes the balloon go, just like how light can also pull things when it moves through them or hits them from different sides.

How Light Pushes

When light pushes, it's kind of like a strong wind. If you're standing in front of a fan on full speed, you feel the air pushing against your face, that’s how light can push tiny particles around, making them move.

How Light Pulls

When light pulls, it's more like when you tug on a rope. Imagine two friends holding each end of a rope and pulling toward each other, they both move toward the middle. Light does something similar to tiny bits inside things, giving them a little pull in different directions.

Light is like a playful friend who can nudge or tug everything around!
