What is sick?

Sick means when your body is having trouble working properly and needs help to feel better.

Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, but suddenly it stops moving, that's like being sick. Your body is the toy, and when something goes wrong inside of it, it can't do the things it usually does, like running, jumping, or even thinking clearly.

What happens when you're sick?

When you're sick, your body sends out a message, kind of like a shout, saying "I need help!" This is often why you feel tired, have a fever, or maybe even get a cough. These are all signs that something isn't quite right inside your body.

How do you get better?

Getting better means helping your body fix what went wrong. That could be taking medicine, resting, or drinking lots of water, just like giving your toy some batteries and a little time to recharge.

Sometimes, being sick feels like a mini adventure your body goes on, and once it's done, you're back to playing with your toy again!
